Beard appoints new construction manager in Oxford
Bill Taylor has been promoted to construction manager based at our Oxford offices at Cumnor Hill. He will be responsible for overseeing the construction and delivery of our Oxford building projects across the education, healthcare, commercial, ecclesiastical and industrial sectors.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Builders, Bill joined our £136 million turnover company in 1997 as a carpenter, progressing in the business to become special works manager and, most recently, contracts manager prior to his new appointment as construction manager.
“I am delighted to be taking up this new construction role at a time when we have some very exciting projects under way, from the £7.2 million Nazrin Shah centre at Oxford Worcester College, to the University of Oxford’s major redevelopment of the Iffley Road Sports Centre,” says Bill. “I’m fortunate to be a part of a talented team that share the same commitment to prompt and faultless project delivery for our customers.”
Bill, who lives in Bletchingdon, near Kidlington, with his wife Debbie, has three grown-up children, including 26-year-old Stacey Taylor who also works in our Oxford office as a buyer.
“Bill is the ideal person for this role,” says Dean Averies, our Oxford regional director. “He is totally focused on client service and dedicated to making every construction project we deliver a great customer experience. I look forward to working with him to continue to grow the business across the region.”
Bill is a member of Bletchingdon Parish Council’s Planning Committee and volunteers at the village’s sports and social club where he is vice chairman. All news
