A short video explaining some of the work carried out at the Bodleian Library and for the Oxford University Examination Schools.
The Examination Schools are in fairly constant use by the University so there was a short window during the summer to carry out three jobs at the same time, to avoid and possible disruption.
One of the tasks was to introduce 21st century security technology into a building built in the 1500s - and make it look untouched!
The University Examination Schools underwent cleaning and external repairs to the external facade, removing the traffic pollution caused by its location in central Oxford - which also provided interesting access issues!
The work to update the security and technology in the Proscholium, whilst providing the illusion that nothing had changed, was so successful that the project won an OPT Award.
