Successful delivery of our IT roadmap over the last 18 months has led to us achieving the government backed Cyber Essentials Plus certification. Reassuring our customers & suppliers that we have effective controls in place to mitigate risk & take cyber security seriously.
During 2021 we focused on a number of key areas:
Over recent years the need for robust defence against Cyber-attacks has increased dramatically. One of the most common breaches of a company’s data is through a lack of simple controls, which continues to be an area central to our Cyber roadmap. The global pandemic confirmed our belief that a “cloud-first” focused approach to our IT infrastructure was the way forward, given our widespread work force, multitude of working environments & locations.
Going forward now we have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus we will continue to adjust & refine our cyber defences, as well as monitor the national & global events that could influence the business. 2022 will also see a push on staff training, to enable our people to recognise when something is suspicious & feel confident to report it to IT.
