Voting now open for Constructing Excellence South West 2025 Awards

When the shortlist for the Constructing Excellence South West 2025 awards was announced this week, Beard had double the reason to celebrate.

Two of our sites have been nominated in different award categories, and recognised for the unique value each provides for customers and communities.

Trowbridge Town Hall has been shortlisted in the Regeneration and Conservation category, which spotlights projects that use specialist skills and techniques to deliver better outcomes for an existing building.

The Grade II listed town hall has been sensitively repurposed as a vibrant venue for music and arts, and now welcomes around 50,000 visitors a year. The project has achieved 31% (£2.4m) in social value, and we're delighted to see its community impact recognised alongside the technical restoration work.

Gloucester College Construction Centre has been shortlisted in the Delivering Value category, celebrating projects that unlock wider benefits and deliver measurable, lasting value.

This state-of-the-art construction training hub is designed to teach learners the latest in sustainable building practices, and will help to address the increasing demand for skilled construction workers in the region.

Now a staple in the construction calendar, the CESW Awards champion collaboration, innovation and best practice - from pioneering sustainability efforts to exceptional leadership, regeneration, and digital transformation.

Finalists and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony this summer, bringing together industry leaders, charity partners, and delivery teams from across the South West.

Entries are now officially open, so please do take the time to vote for these projects.
