Investors in People awards Gold accreditation for Wellbeing
We are delighted to have been recognised for our ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of our employees with a prestigious gold accreditation from Investors in People (IIP).
The sought-after three-year accreditation celebrates our people first approach, having revised our policies to be more family friendly and established regional health and wellbeing groups to feed into our People hub.
We have also introduced a health and wellbeing strategy based on consultation and feedback from people all across the business including the five business improvement hubs.
The accreditation is renowned internationally and independently verified by IIP which has assessed all areas of the business including company policies, culture and initiatives, as well employee engagement, recognition and inclusion. It builds upon our silver IIP health and wellbeing accreditation, awarded at the end of 2018.
This new accreditation is independent verification that our approach to wellbeing meets gold international standards and that our people first philosophy is effective in making Beard a wonderful environment in which to work.
Even with the accreditation secured, there’s no plans to rest on our laurels. With our people at the heart of everything we do and the strategies in place, we will continue to improve the relationships we have with each other, improve how we work together and continue to create a culture of open discussion and continued development.

Our new health and wellbeing strategy is already well underway throughout the business. In addition to regional activities such as a new weekly exercise class in the Swindon office, we've launched our 2023 wellness calendar which aims to offer our people diverse activities and support with social, physical and psychological benefits.
Following the wellbeing certification, we plan to build on the work of previous years and our new strategy to secure the full Investor in People accreditation this year.
