Reaching new heights in Bristol city centre

We’ve reached new heights in Bristol with the redevelopment of One Friary, the flagship office building in the city’s vibrant Temple Quay.

Project teams gathered for a topping-out ceremony to celebrate the completion of the structural phase of work on the £24.5million development, which has seen three new floors and a rooftop façade added to the existing building structure.

Once complete, One Friary will offer 80,000 sq ft of Grade A office space with sustainability at its core - by retaining 85% of the existing concrete frame, the development has already captured over 1,700 tonnes of embodied carbon.

The ceremony brought together project partners and stakeholders to celebrate the progress, including Bankfoot APAM, tp bennett, Catella APAM, Box Twenty Consulting Engineers, Heyne Tillett Steel, Core Five, Lambert Smith Hampton, and Hartnell Taylor Cook.

With the structure now complete, work continues on the final construction stages and internal fit-out, keeping practical completion on track for early 2026. This project will deliver a modern, regenerated workspace that supports the city’s thriving business community.

“Reaching structural completion is a proud moment for us and an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate progress to date. Our thanks to project teams for their continued hard work in creating a sustainable, future-ready office that will enhance Temple Quay. This is an exciting time for Bristol, and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
