At our recent supply chain event in Oxford, Beard colleagues and partners came together to share best practice and celebrate recent successes.
With over 75 attendees, this was also a chance to talk about how we can continue raising standards across every project.
The day covered key prioritise for Beard, including our Focus 2026 safety campaign, the use of digital tools, health and wellbeing, the construction skills gap and our shared contribution to social value.
We were also proud to recognise some exceptional supply chain partners. Congratulations to this year's winners!

The event was enriched by insights shared by guest speakers and partners at the post-event networking session.
Lighthouse, the construction charity, shared its perspective on the importance of protecting people working within the industry. The charity provides free and confidential emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.
Guests also heard from Activate Learning, an education and training group that works closely with employers to deliver apprenticeships and develop the talent businesses need.
Completing the guest speaker line-up was SeeSaw, our Oxford office’s chosen charity partner. The Oxfordshire charity provides free grief support for children, young people and families. Having supported more than 8,000 children and young people over the past 25 years, SeeSaw’s outreach reflects Beard’s commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and work.
ACE Training showcased its hands-on construction training, apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships, which help people to develop practical skills in areas including carpentry, joinery, brickwork and property maintenance. They were joined by Abingdon & Witney College, where our partnership has seen the successful delivery of a T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.
Prostate Cancer UK was also on hand to share information and encourage important conversations about men’s health.
Together, these contributions highlighted the breadth of collaboration needed to create a construction industry that is safer, healthier, more inclusive and equipped with the skills it needs for the future.
