Reinforcing a robust approach to cyber security
The continuation of our IT roadmap over the past two years has led to several accreditations reinforcing our commitment to stringent controls for data protection.
We are pleased to have achieved certification for ISO 27001, the international standard for Information Security Management.
In addition, we have renewed our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help protect us from online threats.
These accreditations provide the necessary reassurance to our customers and supply chain that our systems are fully secure across the widespread locations where we work.
The ISO 27001 Information Security Management System enables us to effectively control threats, ensuring our systems, technology, data and reputation remain intact.
A new set of security policies have been developed to ensure we meet the requirements of the standard and are fit for the future.
The Information Security Management System (ISMS) now forms part of the Beard Integrated Management System (IMS) alongside H&S (45001), Quality (9001) and Environmental (14001).
Improving our Information Security Management System to the level required by ISO 27001 provides added reassurance that our business is securing information and staying ahead of new threats. It also helps to differentiates us from our competitors.
