Financial Results

Beard deliver strong half yearly results amid impacts of Covid-19.

We are delighted to share with you some of our latest news and updates as the region’s leading construction company with a commitment to excellence and an ambition to make a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work.

The first half of 2020 was one of two halves. Q1 saw the business post sales ahead of the previous year, before the Covid-19 pandemic dominated our personal lives and our business decisions in Q2 and beyond.

In early July we asked our auditors to conduct an independent review of our financial accounts for the first six months of this year, which they duly did. This is the first time in the history of the business that we’ve carried out this exercise.

Pleasingly our results show that our balance sheet remains very strong, we have a healthy cash position and an average supplier payment period of 26 days.

The situation with Covid-19 is unprecedented and continually evolving. It has never been more difficult to predict the year ahead. However, we are confident that these results demonstrate our financial resilience and the long-term sustainability of the business.
