Beard sponsors Swindogs return trip

We’ve signed up as logistics partner for Swindon’s very first culture trail

The inaugural Big Dog Art Trail will be coming to Swindon this summer, when more than 30 larger than life balloon dog sculptures – the Swindogs – are set to be unleashed across Swindon.

We are proud to be taking on the role of logistics partner and making sure all the Swindogs are transported to their correct homes on the trail.

The Big Dog Art Trail will create a free walking trail through some of Swindon’s most well-loved and historic parks, landmarks and streets and will shine a light on art and culture in the heart of the town.

As a family business, we are very much a part of the communities we serve and have shared values. In keeping with our people first ethos, our belief in a partnership approach and our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities closest to us, we’re delighted to be supporting The Big Dog Art Trail and Julia’s House. We are also excited to be a partner in the launch of Swindon’s first culture trail which will give people the opportunity to come together to explore local places of interest.

JAMIE HARWOOD
Swindon Director

As well as encouraging local residents to re-discover the town they love, the public art spectacle is expected to attract thousands of visitors from outside the town, providing a welcome boost for local businesses.

The uniquely decorated sculptures will create the UK’s first-ever balloon dog art trail and will raise essential funds for the local children’s hospice charity, Julia’s House.

We’re delighted Beard has come on board to support The Big Dog Art Trail as our Logistics Partner. We know with this ‘paws-ome’ company the Swindogs are in safe hands. Thank you to all the amazing businesses in Swindon and beyond who have already signed up to be a sponsor. With the artists’ designs now shortlisted, we’re very excited for the New Year and the countdown to The Big Dog Art Trail 2023.

Project Manager, Big Dog Art Trail

The trail will run from 15 July to 3 September 2023 and end with a grand farewell finale weekend, where Beard will reunite all the two-metre-high Swindog sculptures under one roof.

The giant one-of-a-kind creations will then head off to their forever homes after being adopted at a special auction event to raise money for Julia’s House children’s hospice.
