Beard joins Oxford University construction framework

Beard is strengthening its connections with higher education after securing a place on the University of Oxford’s construction framework.

We are one of six contractors on the Oxford Inspire Framework, and will play a role delivering construction and refurbishment projects valued at between £500,000 and £15m.

The framework is forged around the principles of collaboration, early contractor involvement and continuous improvement. These play to our strengths as a trusted partner and prominent contractor in the region, managing special projects up to £2m in value and projects up to £35m.

The news builds on our long standing relationship with the university, which includes the redevelopment of St Hilda’s College and the refurbishment of the Grade I listed St John’s College.

Earning a place on this framework is testament to the team’s approach to collaboration and commitment to improvement. We’re delighted to be named as a key partner for the university as it embarks on a programme of development to create places and spaces that meets its ambitions.

Dave Fisher, Oxford Office Lead

"We’re looking forward to supporting the team, bringing our expertise in heritage preservation, modern decarbonisation and early contractor involvement to deliver a faultless result," Dave added.

The framework provides the university with a clear procurement route for estate construction and refurbishment over the next eight years.
