THE PROJECT
The works included the extensive refurbishment to the M&E, internal fitout of the existing 4 Endoscopy, AHU, IPS and UPS Theatres. The new theatres will also see the renewal and installing new state of the art equipment. The existing services will also be remodelled and upgraded.
The new build included the formation of a new glazed lobby and reception area and installation of 4 HTM compliant Air Handling Units on the roof to serve 3 Theatres and Recovery.

Phase 1 - The refurbishment of Theatre 4, recovery room, new roof installation, formation of new lobby, waiting area, and external plant. The roof is made up of the aluamsc super gold system, a flexible felt. To
ensure the hospital could remain operational, we completed alterations to Theatre 1 to be used as a temporary set up while the permanent works were being completed.
Phase 2 - Refurbishment of Laminate flow (bacteria free) Theatre 3.
Phase 3 - Refurbishment of Theatre 2.
Phase 4 - Refurbishment of Theatre 1 (with Theatre 2 & 3 available with UCV as laminar flow theatres). Completion of works to corridors and adjacent rooms were completed out of hours.
