REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE

TRUSTED PARTNERS

They might not have the glitz and glamour of huge developments, but alteration and maintenance projects bring their own challenges

Customer focused solutions

Often the unheralded heroes of construction, improvement projects can be as challenging and impactful as the most prestigious ones.

Whether it’s a minor repair or a significant programme of work, you can be assured of the same care and attention.

Central to our craft is a commitment to learning means that means we not only stay on top of industry developments, but evaluate their relevance for each client, and bring forward the best solutions.

Timescales are often tight, briefs are often approximate. But this encourages a more flexible and informal relationship with our customers, demanding closer collaboration to find the best solutions.

We are proud to be University of Oxford Estates’ chosen property services partner, as well as working with government linked contractors such as Aspire.

I would like to drop a quick note to thank Beard and the team for the amazing works undertaken at Larchwood under the social element part of the contract. The feedback from our Corporate Management Team and CEO has been very positive and the site are very happy with the works undertaken. The works achieved exceeded our expectations and I would like to thank you for the free materials and labour provided.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude for delivering an exceptional laboratory to us here at the Deny Wilkinson building. The project was troubled by numerous unforeseen issues, such as the discovery of many holes in our 1m thick concrete wall, a plant deck that was too full to work in and strict noise control on the building work. Mark offered creative effective solutions without complaint and simply got on with the job under difficult circumstances. I saw Mark coordinating many work teams during my site visits and he was able to keep the project on track regardless of the additional difficulties. He was very accommodating to our needs and would go out of his way to deliver to us the laboratory we wanted.

Part of the reason for choosing Beard, apart from the obvious issues of quality, cost, and programme, was their ability to communicate a sense of personal warmth – these were real human beings – and a commitment to building a strong relationship. This wasn’t just about undertaking a job and making a profit, it was also about leaving behind a positive experience for both sides.
