CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS

Colour-matching the iconic yellow paint

Due to sun damage and previous repair works, the original yellow paint had overlayed with various shades, this created a challenge when procuring the yellow paint for the external steelwork. Beard and Bagnalls Decorations used an inconspicuous area inside the building to test multiple samples and find the matching modern colour.

Live operational building

Cooper Tyres and a scrap organisation both currently occupy the building and remained operational while the works were being completed.
